Hams still love their radios
Sitting in his basement surrounded by radios, WA1UOL moves
like the famous man behind the curtain in "The Wizard of Oz." He flicks
switches, twists knobs and presses a button which turns an antenna mounted
outside his house. As he does, the bright beep of a signal is heard coming
from the town of Conway. It sounds like a bear growling he says.
