For three decades, Joanne has been a designer, custom-dressmaker, and expert stitcher. She has designed for stores, weddings, and individual clientele. She has stitched costumes for national and local theater and dance. Equally at home with knitting, sewing, and decorating, Joanne specializes in functional (often wearable) art. All of her work is hand-constructed, and each piece is a unique one-of-a-kind creation.

In her new collection, showing at Fountain Street Studios April 26 & 27, 2008, Joanne breathes new life into old materials. Wool sweaters are shrunk, cut, and re-stitched as cold weather hats. Old jeans and upholstery fabrics become totes and handbags. Vintage cuttings relive as beautiful new blankets. New and vintage beads, buttons, and trimmings complete the picture.
