Radio Guests

Thomas Grimes was a native of Syracuse, New York and a resident of Boston, MA. He appeared in productions of "Through the Fire" with Brothers Dujour, "Skip and Stephanie" with the New African Company, "Stop and Frisk" with Karibu Productions and "A Raisin in the Sun" at the Merrimac Repertory Theatre. He was the Artistic Director of Black Folks Theatre and a founding member of the "Writers of Color Workshop". As a playwright he is the author of "Mattie's Grille", "Don't Take No Wooden Nickels", "Brother Red" and the Gospel/drama "Jesus Made Footprints... When He Walked on Water". Thomas was the featured spoken word artist on Conelius Kruesch's, Enja Records release "The Vision". He has performed his poetry at The Lizard Lounge, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Cantab Lounge and the Blue Note in NYC

Wesley Lawrence Taylor, Lois Roach and Philip Robinson will be the studio guests on Poetry Jam, November 5, 2003 to help us celebrate Thomas' life and work.
