Why did I start this web site? Often I am searching the web looking for new information relating to the interests I listed here. It occured to me that if I were to publish a web site, other individuals may find it and be able to point me to new and useful related information. Or perhaps what I have found may in turn be of interest to others. If either of these things are the case for you, please let me know.

I have attempted to list things that are not already obvious. For example, Rachel Carson's Silent Spring is certainly a classic that I value, but would not discuss it in my nature writing page. Another point to make is that I will try to differentiate this site by including resources that are related to my geographic area, greater Boston, Massachusetts and New England.
