One of Karl's professions is that of an art director and designer who has worked for companies such as NW Ayer Direct in New York, designing DM material for AT&T and other corporations; and North American Publishing, as a promotional art director for 13 trade magazines. He has done recruitment advertising and and has worked in television as an art director and scenic designer. He is the owner of Kofoed Design, graphic design and digital photo restoration.

Karl's other profession is that of a science fiction illustrator. The Galactic Geographic, his magnum opus, is a regular feature in Heavy Metal magazine. The Galactic Geographic Annual 3003 is now available from Paper Tiger books. Karl's novels, Deep Ice and JOKO, are available on Amazon.com or from the publisher, BeWrite.net. He has illustrated S.P. Somtow's The Ultimate Mallworld, "Mr. Bill in Space" with Walter Williams and Jim Wilson, and has done many science fiction book covers and interior illustrations. His work has been seen in numerous museum and gallery shows.

Janet Kofoed is a talented and popular jewelry designer. Her work is sold in boutiques and museum shops and at Science Fiction conventions in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York . Much of her work is commissions. Click here for her recently updated jewelry page.
