Chance has decreed that two races curious about the birth of a
sun have come to an unexpected and historical encounter. Suddenly
each crew has been cast in a new role; that of ambassador for
its home world. The crew of the Delphinium from Earth and
the crew of the unnamed alien ship must now determine the outcome
of this meeting. So far from home,
each crew examines the other's likenesses and differences.
