Experience

• Art Director- Orenstein Advertising, Philadelphia, PA

At Orenstein, a recruitment advertising agency, I was sole source of its graphic output. Working with various writers, freelancers and suppliers, I produced display advertising and promotion materials on a Mac-based system networked to a PC environment. My presentations and conceptual work earned many clients. My skills, experience and speed with electronic media has allowed me to always meet deadlines and win client approval.

 

• Advertising Promotion Art Director- North American Publishing Company, Philadelphia, PA

Electronic design and supervised production of all promotion and sales support literature for several trade magazines while networking with a large and varied body of promotion and circulation writers/managers. Self directed, responsible for electronic output, design to prepress, of literature for 13 trade magazines including Printing Impressions, American School & University, Global Trade Executive, and others. Produced brochures, direct mail, forms, surveys, display literature. Helped move Printing Impressions to first place in circulation. My work won several design awards.

• Freelance Art Director for NW Ayer Advertising- Direct Response Division, NYC

With no guidance, I immediately assumed the duties and responsibilities of Art Director. Designed and directed production of advertising materials for all media (Ad, DM, TV) involving a direct market response. My client accounts were: U.S. Army, Army Reserve, Citicorp, AT&T, John Deere, Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, and others.

 

• Freelance Art Director- Trendsetters Advertising, Philadelphia, PA

Clients: GPU, Fairchild, Sperry, CIA, Wells Fargo. Designed and produced recruitment advertising materials including a spectacularly successful testimonial campaign for General Public Utilities.

 

• Art Director- Louis Zimmer Communications, Philadelphia, PA

As Art Director for this Advertising Agency I was responsible for the design and production of advertising material and publications for computer and other industrial accounts. Because of my diverse abilities I handled all graphics design, illustration and mechanical work.

• Art Director- Studio One Products, Inc., Holmes, PA

Designed and produced wall decor and gift items such as posters, plaques, fine-art prints, specialty candles, etc. Responsible for the production of sales support literature, trade show displays and POP materials for the retail gift industry.

• Art Director- WKBS TV Channel 48, Philadelphia, PA.

Art Director, Director of News Graphics (union position). Supervised staff artist and photographer. Perhaps my most valuable skill, acquired at WKBS, is a result oriented work ethic developed in the 'show must go on' atmosphere of television. Because of this training and a strong work ethic, I have never missed a deadline.
