What We Do

KT/DA provides direct financial aid to needy kidney patients and donors in New England through its Patient Assistance Progam.

KT/DA awards scholarships to kidney patients or members of their immediate families for continuation of post-secondary school education.

KT/DA provides a variety of social activities for patients and their families, including regular meetings and others.

KT/DA publishes a quarterly newsletter, The RenalGram, which informs members about recent medical advances, facts relating to treatment, upcoming events for patients, important legislation, and news of KT/DA's activities.

KT/DA publishes a KT/DA Patient Handbook, which discusses many aspects of dialysis and transplantation, including the types of dialysis, transplantation protocols, diet, anemia, blood pressure, financial resources, sexual problems, and psychological adjustment.

KT/DA makes available "Transplant Kidneys -- Don't Bury Them" bumper stickers.
