Gerald, along with his sister and mother, were convicted on the basis of evidence now known to be unreliable — primarily the coerced testimony of very young children. No prosecutor would bring such a case today.
His mother and sister were freed in 1995, but Gerald has remained in prison since his conviction in the summer of 1986. This case is a blight on the reputation of the Commonwealth. You have the opportunity to end this tragedy and secure your place in history as a defender of justice.
