On April 27, 1996, Tracy Snell took me to the top of the St. Augustine Lighthouse on Anastasia Island in St. Augustine, Florida. After climbing almost 225 stairs, he asked me the question I have waited a long time to hear...He asked me to marry him!! It was so amazing that I had a hard time grasping the reality of the moment. I finally realized exactly what was happening and I was truly overwhelmed! Then, he showed me the most beautiful ring I have ever seen, and as he placed it on my finger, I thought I might faint. There is nothing quite like the moment when the man you love with all your heart asks you to spend the rest of your life with him. And then places a ring on your hand to show the world exactly how he feels!
After we descended all those steps (I actually floated down, I think), he opened the trunk of the car, and there, on ice, was a bottle of Dom Perignon and 2 crystal toasting glasses. What a lucky woman I am to have been blessed with Tracy Snell in my life!
We are getting married on November 16, 1996 and then our long distance relationship will forever come to an end!!
