The Bridge

This bridge will only take you halfway there,
To those wondrous new places that you long to see,
The mountains and the swirling mists,
And moonlit woods where you can walk free.

We walked a while, arm in arm together, and shared,
The winding trails and wondrous worlds that we have known.
Together we now stand and look at the horizon beyond
And see the light gleaming on Dreams that you have been shown.

For there comes a time, in all our lives, when each must part from each,
And paths we once walked together come to an end,
Our journeys change, and the goals for which we reach
Transform, to become our own, to be written of in a letter to a friend.

Take joy in the new adventure that waits,
As we now begin to walk our own paths, don’t sigh.
Open your eyes wide to see the beauty all around you
Don’t cry, and don’t stumble, don't turn to look behind.

My path cannot be your path,
We each need to find our own,
Or it may become a shadow, a copy,
A bare and hidden yearning,
That in the end, leaves us aching and alone.

But make sure you take note of the beauty
And sing a song of it so sweet,
I will listen to the wind as it whispers,
It will sing me your song as I sleep.

This bridge will only take you halfway there,
My friend, thank you for all the beauty you have shown,
Now we must part, to walk our own paths,
The last few steps you will have to take alone.

Instructions:

E-Mail: If you want to send this to another friend, (and please feel free to do so!) simply right click on the url you will see up there on the tool bar at the top of the page, and copy it.  Then paste it into an e-mail to your friend, inviting them to come see this page, that you have a special message you want them to see!  This is the easiest way to send this page to someone else.

Send the link: With Internet Explorer, on your toolbar, at the top of the page, click on "file", then "send" and select "send link by e-mail" It works pretty much the same with Netscape, too...   Don't select "send PAGE by e-mail", by the way, as it will then insert the entire page into your e-mail letter, and the graphics won't show up on the other end... and it will be annoying...  Just send the link.

ICQ: On ICQ it's even easier!   Simply open up your ICQ console, with this site open as well, and click on the name of someone on your contact list and then click on  where is says "Webpage Address (URL)", and the address will be sent to them automatically!  You can also click on the little "more" button, and send this page to more than one user, all at the same time, through ICQ! (Fun, isn't it?)

Web TV: If you are a webTV user and all you do is hit OPTIONS while you have this page open, then put the box around SEND and key in e-mail address you want to send it to, and hit SEND.
