The eyes react to light
Discerning colors
In the visible spectrum.
The ears react to sound
Detecting vibration.

But what the eyes see
And the ears hear
Can only dimly explain
What the heart believes.

Where does love come from?
Does it grow from the beauty we see?
Can there be such a thing
As love at first sight?

Where does love come from?
Does it grow from words
Whispered into your ear,
As you watch the stars
Shine in the universe
Late at night?

I believe that heart may speak to heart
And there are truths in our lives
That only the heart can know.

And when hearts touch each other
Like palm touching palm, clasped together,
As hands clasp each other in prayer,
Then hearts do speak to each other.

And in seeing as hearts see,
And hearing as hearts hear,
They touch as hearts touch,
And love grows.
