The little side road curves gently down the ridge toward the river. There are about 4 houses down there, and then the old factory. The ridge towers over the houses on one side, making them look tiny and quaint, although they are just your basic every day one and two family houses. As the road curved around past the old paper factory, it splits off, one side continuing back up to the main road, and the other changing to a one-lane metal bridge that crosses the river. Nathaniel whispered "this part scares me". I patted his knee, and told him to take a deep breath, and went across very slowly. It was a little creepy, as the metal clanged beneath our tires, the river seemed like it was just inches below us.
