According to Giorgi's _Bartholomew HEATH of Haverhill, Massachusetts_, Josiah
HEATH (#82 in her book) m. 1747 Susannah GRIFFIN and had 9 children, the
first seven born in Hampstead. The fourth listed child is a John HEATH.
Giorgi gives no further information on John, but lists him before brother
Sterling (Starling) b. 1759. I believe this may be my ancestor John HEATH
who married Rachel KENTFIELD 31 Jan. 1785 in Bridgewater NH. (Giorgi gives
Rachel's husband as #178 John Heath b. 25 Feb 1761 in Plaistow to Jonathan
Heath and Hannah Stevens. I believe this is an error.) Can anyone help untangle
the two John Heaths, who were cousins?

I'm looking for information on John Atkins parents and where he originated
from. This is WHAT I know...John J (Johnson/Johnston) Atkins married in
Hampstead Abigail Rowell, d/o Job Rowell and Priscilla Emerson (Was Johnson
his mother's maiden name?) They had a daughter Alice b 11-20-1787 (or 9)
who died 12-4-1873 and married Benjamin Smith of So Reading. My grandmother
said that her grandmother Alice used to smoke a clay pipe...would this suggest
her father originally came up from the south? After Alice, John and Abigail
had 12 other children and ALL of them have vanished, without leaving a trace.
The info re the marriage of John Atkins and Abigail Rowell came from "Memorial
of the Town of Hampstead, NH" Any help/documentation would be very
appreciative.

Seeking information on the Davis family of Hampstead. Remembering Molly
Davis being the town telephone operator from her home in the late 40s and
early 50s. She had two Nieces, one Ruth (my Aunt, recently deceased in CT)
and Pricilla who still lives in the area. Would like to find Pricilla who's
last name is Gatgill or Gatsgill or something that sounds like that. Any
help appreciated.

I am looking for information on my paternal grandmothers family. We have
that she, Ellen Christina Mativia (Matava) was born in Hampstead, Rockingham
County, New Hampshire in September of 1892. When I called to check the records
they could not find a birth record for my grandmother, but did find a record
for two of her siblings, one born before her and one after her. Ellen was
born to Isaac & Ellen Mativia. There is a number of different spellings
that we have run into for this surname in records of family members. They
are McTavie, Matava, Mativia, and McTava. Thank you for any help in this
research
