Seeking any information on the Sarah Ann HARVEY, nee BUNN who bought land and house of Charles S. Sheldon, on June 17, 1884, in Woodstock. This same land and home was inherited by her children, by William A. BAKER, namely; Herbert Baker, Laura M. Baker MOORE, William F. Moore, her husband, Jenks Baker, and a Mrs Sophie M. JENKS. Is Sophie M. Jenks the sister of Sarah Ann Harvey? Sarah Ann Bunn married Alteria Harvey 1838, William A. Baker in 1842, James PLACE 1875, and finally George M. Harvey. Any help with this family would be most appreciated.

I have some on the FISHER Family of Woodstock West. I am willing to share what I have and hopefully be in contact with others researching the Fisher family. I have the Fishers back to Nathan Fisher m. in 1741 East Haddam, Middlesex Co., CT, to Hannah OLCOTT. I suspect Nathan Fisher goes back to Needham, Mass. but could not connect to those Fishers. Their son Olcott Fisher moved to Windham Co. Olcott Fisher had a son Eleazer Fisher that married Polly Converse. Polly died soon after the fourth child was born. I know nothing of her family. Eleazer moved up to Jefferson Co., New York and remarried Polly Davis. Eleazer and his large family moved to Brighton, Lorain Co., Ohio. I have much on the family of Eleazer Fisher to share.

I have published a book entitled "Powers and Allied Families." My other Connecticut surnames in this book are:
Allen -- David Allen Jr.of Windham Co.
Olcott -- Thomas and Cullick Olcott of Hartford
Foote -- Nathaniel Foote of Wethersfield
Bliss -- Thomas Bliss of Hartford
Wilcox -- Oliver Wilcox of New London
Boreman/Boardman -- Isaac Boreman/Boardman of Wethersfield
Benton -- Edward Benton of Wethersfield
Kimberly -- Thomas kimberly of New Haven-Fairfield
Hoisington -- John Hoisington of Farmington

WEST
30 Nov 98, idhwest@aol.com, Dennis J. West.

I've done some family research and have determined that Woodstock is perhaps a vital link of information to continue my search of my English heritage. My great-great grandfather John West and his wife Mary (Moore) settled in Woodstock between 1850-60 from New York (City perhaps) and with one female child (Ellen). Subsequently, they had all remaining births of children in Woodtsock (and some deaths) totaling 10. Between 1877-1880, the family moved to Holyoke, MASS and remained for three generations. My request is to find any information of where the West family lived in Woodstock, why they came there from New York (City?), and is there any information that would indicate where, in England, John West came from or was born, and parents. I have visited your area for a couple of hours (1985) and was actually able to do some of the reasearch myself (but only scratched the surface) and plan on doing some again now that I'm back in the states again. I just returned from two tours of duty overseas and have retired. So, whatever help you can give me I do appreciate. Thank you for your time.

BOULEY/BOULAY
December 15, 1998 Dwight Herbert dwight8314@aol.com
The Bouley/Boulay and Pratt family histories are interwoven, especially in Windham, Cty, and Worcester (MA) Cty. I have researched two Worcester Bouley families and have traced them to Mechanicsville/Woodtock and North Grosvenordale where they married into the Pratt family from 1875-1890. Some resettled back in Worcester County. Anyone researching similar family lines, Narcisse Bouley, Olivier Bouley, Francois Bouley, Eli Pratt and Charles Pratt, please contact me and we can share our information. I have been able to trace the Pratt line to Milton, VT about 1850s. The Bouley line has stalled in Worcester, MA at the 1880 US Census. We believe the Bouley line originates in the Richelieu River Valley, Quebec, I wouldn't be surprised to find the same for the Pratt(Dupratte or Dupre)family.

Hello, My husbands family connects with an Ephraim Child who lived in Woodstock CT. I have a "History of the Child, Childs, Childe Families" published in 1881, in which there is a picture (sketch) of Ephraim's house dated 1735. I looked at a map of Woodstock and see that there is a "Child" street, as well as a "Child Hill." Any information anyone can provide about this would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
