Because:

It is time for our schools to produce better educated graduates.

Clare will advocate for our children with at least the same energy she has exhibited when advocating for other issues.

Clare will work with  the school system to  achieve better results.

Money is not the only requirement for good education.  However, properly funding teacher salaries and important programs will improve our schools.  Clare will advocate at the State level for adequate funding.

Recruiting and retaining additional excellent teachers will improve our schools.  Clare will advocate for recruiting and retaining the best teachers.

Listening carefully to parents will improve our schools.  Clare will be at PTA meetings and in schools to meet parents and listen to their concerns.

Making board meetings more easily accessible to parents will improve our schools.  Clare will ensure that proper notice is given of Board of Education meetings, including estimated time of various topics.  She will establish an e-mail notification of Board of Education meetings and committee meetings for those who are interested.  She will bring the Board of Education closer to the citizens it serves.
