HONKY-TONK CROWD
Words & Music by
Jim Rainho
You just had to fool around while I was out of town
Couldn't pass up the honky-tonk call.
If that's the game you want to play, I too can be that way
I can play all the rules you can call.
It's not a pretty picture, I suppose
But it's been painted before, heaven knows
So what else can a man do when women act like you
But become lost in the HONKY-TONK CROWD.
You'll go on living in shame and I will do the same
Just think that I was once so proud
But as the wine clouds up my mind, some contentment I will find
As a part of the HONKY-TONK CROWD.
It's not a pretty picture, I suppose
But it's been painted before, heaven knows
Brokn hearts and empty dreams, sad tears and and fruitless schemes..
Are all part of the HONKY-TONK CROWD..
