I was an Altar Boy for years. I was hand-picked to serve Mass with a Bishop. One of my Best friends is becoming a Priest.
I had a paper Route for 4 years. I was Voted "Honor Carrier" ... That gets you $25 and a Special "honor Carrier" paper bag- With Shiny Lettering and a Hunter-Orange Strap.
I was a Boy Scout. I later Joined the Police Explorers, thinking I would Be a Cop someday.
My Mother was leader of my Cub-Scout pack, and for years also ran every fund raiser my school held.
I taught myself BASIC on my Apple-Compatable Laser 128K computer. When I was 12.
My family didn't own an FM radio until I got one in 1987 as a prize for selling magazine subscriptions. Music in Stereo Still drives my mom nuts.
I love Archery.
In elementary School, I wanted to be a Cartoonist. I never Made it.

I quit the Police Explorers after getting a speeding ticket... on my way to an Explorer Meeting.
My first "Real" job was when I was 15... I worked in My Neighbor's Liquor Store. I was a Recyclable Material Separation Specialist.
In 9th grade, one of the seniors gave me the Nickname "Simon"- Because he felt I resembled the character on PBS... You know, "the things he draws come true.... " Well, the Name Stuck. I was Known as Simon for 4 years. Every now and again, I bump into someone I graduated with who will call me Simon, and when I correct them and tell them my Name is Mike, they apologize and say "Gee, I thought you were someone I went to School with." That's OK, because I don't remember ANY of their Names...
I listened to a Lot of Alice Cooper.
I wore a Vest for 2 years... then I swapped it for a Camouflage shirt. Black Trenchcoats weren't in fashion yet...
My first real Concert was Aerosmith, Skid Row opened for them.
