Two scenes which involved a number of the house of Dark Shadows characters discussing the recent terrible events both ended up on the cutting room floor. The most probable reason for this was because the events being discussed had either themselves been edited out of the film, or they had never even been filmed.
- One scene involved Maggie's return to Collinwood after being rescued from the Old House. In the scene, Maggie wants to discuss the problems with David (i.e. his having pretended to hang himself in her closet and his having locked her in the Old House), but Roger absolutely refuses to take up the matter.
- The second scene was scripted to occur just prior to Barnabas' arrival at Collinwood. In it, the characters who are later seen gathered in the gallery when Barnabas arrives are first discussing the death of Nancy Hodiak.But when DS actress Marie Wallace, who was to portray Nancy, decided to move on to another show, the role was written out of the film.
