After Roger's refusal to discuss the problems with David, the house of Dark Shadows script called for a scene in the Collinwood drawing room in which Maggie explains to Jeff that she knows Roger never will discuss David, and because of Roger's attitude, she has decided to leave her position as governess and go back to Boston. Interestingly, though, the drawing room scene was actually a rewrite. When the Nancy Hodiak character was still a part of the script, Maggie and Jeff's scene took place in Jeff's studio just prior to the arrival of Nancy, who had commisioned Jeff to do her portrait as an anniversary gift to her husband. Once Nancy had picked up the portrait and was on her way back to her car, she was slated to meet up with Daphne Budd's attacker. |
