In addition to the costume party, many other sequences in house of Dark Shadows ended up being trimmed prior to release.
One such sequence was Carolyn's appearance to David at the old, abandoned swimming pool. As originally filmed, the scene was intended to end with Carolyn, fangs bared, advancing on the terrified boy. However, the scene now simply finishes with David screaming "You're dead!" and backing away. The audience never sees Carolyn reveal her fangs.

After Roger fires Willie at the stable and Willie storms off, Maggie and Roger have a confrontation which helps contribute to Maggie's decision to quit her position as governess.
Following Carolyn's recognition of Barnabas' ring as the one the man who was with Willie at the Collinsport Inn was wearing, Barnabas asks Carolyn to help convince Roger and Liz to show him the Old House that night. (The scene where they actually take Barnabas there was entirely cut from the film.)
Once Julia administers Todd's injection following Carolyn's attack on him, Roger, Julia and Prof. Stokes discuss the unbelievability of the situation and what must be done to stop Carolyn.
In Collinwood's drawing room, after Julia has seen that Barnabas casts no reflection in her compact's mirror and Roger walks Barnabas out, Maggie and Jeff argue about Barnabas. They eventually notice that Julia doesn't appear to be herself. Julia excuses herself, and Maggie and Jeff resume their arguement.
After Barnabas decides to accept Julia's offer to attempt to cure him, his and Julia's conversation leading up to and following one of his first injections.
