The Cutting Room FloorPage Five: The Morning After |
| |
| As previously mentioned on Page One, the original draft of the Night of Dark Shadows script called for the dream depicting Charles' abduction and imprisonment to occur after Quentin had attacked Gerard in the tower room. But what were the events of the following morning? Did Tracy never again confront Quentin with the subject of his bizarre behavior - especially after she had also witnessed the agitation caused by the abduction dream. Well, the answer is she most certainly tried to offer a way to get to the bottom of what was going on: |
Night of Dark ShadowsScript Excerpt(red text - included in film / white text - deleted from film)<REMOVED TEXT> Tracy wakes, stares down at him as he struggles for his breath. She shakes him. Quentin...Quentin? What's wrong? CUT TO: INT - DINING ROOM - DAY Tracy is sitting having coffee. She is in deep thought as Quentin ENTERS and stands by the door. He is wearing the riding clothes she bought him. She looks up. How early did you get up? Oh, you're wearing them. I just came from the stables. I apologized to Gerard.
TRACY I don't know. Let me think about it.
TRACY What's wrong with your leg? What?...oh...I took a ride over to the Mill this morning and that stupid horse...threw me. It'll be OK. Don't worry.
