The Cutting Room Floor Page Thirteen: Attack Aftermath

Directly after the scenes depicting Tracy's dream and before the one in which Tracy finds herself at the ruined swimming pool, the Night of Dark Shadows original script called for this scene between Claire and Alex to take place as they recover from Angelique spirit's second attempt to kill Alex:

Night of Dark Shadows Script Excerpt INT - COTTAGE - NIGHT It is later now as Alex, still numb from his experience, sits staring into his drink. An agitated Claire stands watching. CLAIRE It was the most frightening thing I've ever seen. ALEX Claire...I want you to take the car and get out of here now. CLAIRE No -- I won't leave you! He looks up, about to object. CLAIRE No -- I don't care what you say, I won't leave you here alone. She goes into his arms and he kisses her. ALEX (resigned to it) O.K.... CLAIRE What are we going to do? We can't fight her -- She has so much power -- Alex, maybe we should go to Quentin now. ALEX I don't know. Let me think.
