In the Master Bedroom, Quentin begins to dream. He hears a man's voice echo through his mind. "Angelique Collins. You have been condemned as a witch! And you will die as a witch! Let your soul be returned to the pits of darkness forevermore! For we do what me must for Thy sake. In Thy name. Amen! Prepare yourself for eternity, witch! Let the devil take his own!" Quentin then hears hooves beating. In his dream, he sees a man, dressed in a cape and top hat, running down the hill from a cemetery. Another man dressed in a cape, pursues him on horseback. The man on the horse resembles Quentin save for the scar on his left cheek. He screams, "You killed her! You killed Angelique, Strack!" Strack trips and rolls down the hill as the horse neighs. He sees that the horse is almost on top of him and he cries, "No!" The horse neighs as it bucks and comes down on Strack. Strack cries out in anguish as the other man commands, "Kill! Kill!" STRACK TRIES TO PROTECT HIMSELF WITH HIS HANDS, BUT THE HORSE NEIGHS AND TRAMPLES HIM AGAIN AND AGAIN. STRACK CRIES OUT AND CRIES OUT AS THE OTHER MAN SCREAMS, "DIE! DIE!" STRACK STARES AT THE WOUNDS IN HIS HAND. After moving his hand over his face, Strack then lies motionless, his face and hands covered in blood. The other man looks down at Strack's dead body AND THEN LOOKS UP THE HILL. HE TURNS HIS HORSE AROUND AND GALLOPS UP. ATOP THE HILL, OUTSIDE THE CEMETERY GATE, WAITS ANGELIQUE, DRESSED IN A WHITE DIAPHANOUS NEGLIGEE. THE HORSE STOPS IN FRONT OF HER AND THE MAN DISMOUNTS. Angelique holds her arms out to him. After having moved toward her with a pronounced limp, he passionately embraces and kisses her. (Deleted portion written in capitals)
