Doug Johns(7-3) was on top of his game in Milwaukee as he tossed a beauty of a
no-hitter against the pathetic Cincinnati Reds. The Milwaukee Brewers won by
a score of 6 to 0.

Johns had overwhelming stuff tonight. He simply never gave the Cincinnati
batters a decent pitch to drive. He walked 5 Cincinnati batters. What an
evening for the fans. They were on the edge of their seats from the 7th
inning on. With every out, the electricity in the air mounted. Milwaukee
finished with 12 hits in the victory.

The loss was charged to Darryl Kile(6-21). He was hit hard and gave up 8 hits
and 2 walks in 5 innings. 'Johns was simply incredible' losing pitcher Kile
said. 'I hate to admit this but I'd pay to watch a man pitch like that.'
