Shortstop Rich Aurilia launched 2 homeruns as the Houston Astros destroyed the
Minnesota Twins by a score of 20 to 7 at Metrodome.

Aurilia was unconscious out there. While Minnesota pitching was serving
softballs up there for him to hit, the Minnesota fans were serving up some
hardball barbs when he entered the batter's box. But he just used it as fuel
for the fire. He delivered a base-hit scoring a run in the 1st inning,
lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 4th inning, launched a Grand Slam homerun
(his 5th of the season) in the 5th inning and doubled resulting in a run in
the 8th inning. Houston provided plenty of action in the 2nd inning which
saw them plate 5 runs on 5 hits and the 5th inning when they had 7 runs on 6
hits. Houston dominated offensively as they scored in 6 different innings.

Chuck Finley(3-2) allowed 7 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Albie Lopez(2-3) was tagged with the loss. He was touched for 7
hits and 2 walks in 2 innings.

'Aurilia led the way - we just jumped on his back and let him take us,' Finley
said. 'I'm glad I don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my team.'
