Troy Glaus rocketed 4 homeruns and had 9 RBI as the Boston Red Sox were badly
beaten by the New York (AL) Yankees, 20 to 6.

It seemed that Boston pitching was serving up softballs for Glaus to hit. He
delivered a one-base hit in the 1st inning, rifled a three-run blast in the
2nd inning, lofted a three-run bomb in the 3rd inning, lifted one out of the
park for a two run home run in the 5th inning and smashed a bases-empty
'big-fly' (his 13th of the season) in the 8th inning. New York (AL) provided
plenty of action in the 1st inning with 4 runs on 4 hits, the 2nd inning when
they had 6 runs on 6 hits, the 3rd inning plating 4 runs and the 8th inning
which saw them plate 4 runs on 4 hits. New York (AL) had 20 hits overall,
while Boston had 8.

Freddy Garcia(1-3) went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing 6 runs for the victory. The
loss was charged to Bobby J. Jones(0-2).
