Sammy Sosa launched 4 homeruns and had 7 RBI at Coors Field as the strong
Philadelphia Phillies, running on all cylinders, ripped the Colorado Rockies
by a large 16 to 5 margin.

Sosa was really in 'the zone'. He blasted a two-run home run in the 1st
inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 2nd inning, hit a
bases-empty home run in the 5th inning, lined a one-base hit in the 7th
inning, clubbed a three-run home run (his 49th of the season) in the 8th
inning and laced a base-hit in the 9th inning. Philadelphia kept the
scorekeepers busy in the 2nd inning when they had 6 runs on 7 hits and the
8th inning which saw them plate 5 runs on 5 hits. Philadelphia ended up with
22 hits for the game while Colorado had 14.

The winning pitcher was Jerrod Riggan(3-3) who allowed no runs in 2 and 2/3
innings. Charles Nagy(0-1) was the loser. He served up 3 homeruns in his 2
innings.
