Todd Greene cracked 3 homeruns and had 8 RBI as the Colorado Rockies defeated
the New York (NL) Mets by a score of 14 to 5 at Coors Field.

Greene provided much of the offense. He lost the ball over the fence for
three runs in the 1st inning, smashed a two-run homer in the 3rd inning,
doubled resulting in a run in the 4th inning and cracked a two-run shot (his
3rd of the season) in the 7th inning. Colorado dominated offensively as they
scored in 6 different innings.

The win was credited to Scott Schoeneweis(1-0) who went 7 and 2/3 innings
allowing 5 runs. Aaron Sele(0-2) was given the loss. 'I felt great out there
today,' Greene said, 'Maybe I should make a regular habit of getting to bed
on time!'
