Andy Pettitte(10-5) joined a select group of baseball pitchers in Houston by
tossing a perfect game as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Houston Astros
5 to nothing.
 
Pettitte was spectacular.  What a day for the fans.  They were on the edge of
their seats from the 7th inning on.  With every out, the electricity in the
air mounted.  Pettitte chalked up 11 strikeouts.  St. Louis finished with 10
hits in the victory.  
 
Chris Capuano(6-12) was the losing pitcher.  After the game, Pettitte was
heard to say, 'This is something I have dreamt about since I was a little boy
- to have it come true is just amazing!'
