NEAT
The Student Contact Management System

Nicholas Giordano will present a complex and powerful student tracking system developed for a local college.

You don't want to miss this opportunity to see sophisticated techniques for controlling data entry, reporting, and security in a complex system.

Data Entry is simplified through use of a single form with multiple subformas.

The Reporting Facility presents a series of report templates, data selection criteria and sort criteria that dynamically customize the report request and report output. This technique will be presented in detail.

A security model is employed which requires user loging, restricts access by function and creates an audit trail of userID and date/time of record creation and update.

All data can be stored using JET or MS SQL Server.

If you have any questions about the meeting please call Claire Chase, (212) 691-3577. Don't forget that it's always a good idea to call the NYPC hotline before attending any SIG meeting in case of last minute exigencies. (212) 533-NYPC = (212)-533-6972.
