The RoBOTL Compiler
RoBOTL
The RoBOTL Compiler
RoBOTL is not just a theoretical language.
Many compilers have been written
(albeit for slightly different dialects of RoBOTL)
by several WPI students as a project for the WPI CS544 Compiler Construction
course in the Spring of 1995.
These compilers were demonstrated on May 2, 1995.
This Reference Guide has described the current version of RoBOTL.
A demonstration compiler/simulator for the PC/DOS environment
is available via FTP from ftp.ma.ultranet.com in the
/pub/n1hbr/robotl directory
or upon request from the author.
Compiler features:
- Fast compile-and-go integrated compiler and run-time interpreter
- Supports single-step and pause during execution
- Event log records the robots actions for debugging or verification
- Fully supports the RoBOTL language as defined in this Reference Guide
Compiler requirements:
- IBM PC-compatible 80x86-based computer
- MS/PC-DOS v3.00 or later
- VGA graphics card
