Logo and Trademark

On May 31, 1670, the Indians inhabiting the town of Natick requested that the General Court appoint them a brand for their cattle. It was ordered that a bow and arrow be the brand mark for that town. This was during the time Natick was the "Praying Indian Villiage" or the "Natick Plantation." During this Indian Period whites (English) were not allowed to purchase land unless invited by the Indians. By 1721 whites began to hold town offices and in 1781 it was incorporated as a Town. The Natick Historical Society uses the brand as their logo and trademark.
