SOUNDS FROM THE PAST

Robert Gee, hobbyist and collector of antique radios will talk on the history of radio and the split-up of the networks. He will display antique radios and give a presentation of excerpts from old-time radio programs. There are still some of us who remember Amos & Andy, and Jack Benny. Come and enjoy a dose of nostalgia.

THE GIFT SHOP

The Society has reproduced two new historical maps. They are the 1899 Bird's Eye Map and a circa 1900 Walker map of Natick with properties listed by owner's name. There is now a series of Natick Center Bird's eye maps, 1877, 1887, and the new 1899. We also have the 1887 Sourth Natick, Cochituate, and Saxonville Bird's eye maps, and the Natick Bicentennial town map. All are available at the Museum.
Click here to see a full list of maps available at our Gift Table.

For those of you who may have missed out there are still 350th pins and crystal anniversary paperweights available at the Historical Society and at the Bacon Free Library.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS ARE DUE

Our fiscal year runs from May 1, of each year to April 30th of the succeeding year. The Society relies on your dues for its programs and for conserving its collections. Please send your dues as early as possible so that we may plan for the year. If you want to check on your current status, please call us at the Museum 508-647-4841, leave a message and we will call you back.

VOLUNTEERS

We serve light refreshments, coffee and finger food, at each meeting. We need someone to arrange for the supply of goodies and to assist people at the refreshment table.

There are many small tasks at the Museum where we would welcome assistance. Do come and join us. Call Jan Prescott at 508-653-4228, or Anne Schaller at 781-235-6015 if you would like to put your special talents to work for the Museum.
