Carl has been playing drums and percussion professionally in Western Massachusetts for the last twenty-one years. Born into a musical family, Carl got started in music by studying piano at age 6 and at age 9 began studying percussion.

Through high school, Carl studied and performed with both classical and contemporary groups: competing and selected to perform in the All New England Music Festival Bands (1980-1983), and the Western Mass District Festival Concert Band, Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble (1980-1983). In addition, Carl performed and toured with the Springfield Young People's Symphony Orchestra from 1981-1983.

Carl began performing professionally when he was thirteen with the Northampton based Ken Morey Band. In the mid 1980’s, Carl joined the band Sounds Unlimited, a Northampton based wedding trio, while he put himself through college; The Entertainers in the late 80’s; his own trio in the late 80’s; until starting Brass Attack in 1995. Carl has also performed professionally and collaborated in many local bands, theater groups and shows throughout the years.

Carl lives in Chicopee with his wife Donna and three children.
