Neal Schermerhorn - Trombone, Baritone Sax, Vocals
Joined Brass Attack in October 1999

[Neal doesn't have a mean bone in his body.]

Brass Attack gives Neal a unique challenge as a musician, and he heartily recommends that you come to see the band at our next show to see why.

Neal earns a big part of his living as a musician. He has played with various local jazz combos and big bands such as the 7th Street Jazz, the Phil Estabrook Big Band and the Little Big Band. He has also been the bass player for Crash Cafe and has played keyboards for numerous bands and shows. He has served, since the fall of 1997, as the music director and conductor of the Old Post Road Orchestra. This amateur community is based in Western Massachusetts.

He has served as musical director for dozens of locally produced musical shows over the last decade, ranging from cabaret shows to productions of Grease!, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dream coat, My Fair Lady, Annie!, and Brigadoon. (Oh, yes, Oklahoma! too, Ed....) He is also called upon to compose medleys and orchestrate for these types of shows on occasion.
