    The 1977 Season

    The team's annual spring trip saw the club traveling to Atlanta and Nashville. One of the biggest highlights of the week came when the Irish shut out Vanderbilt by a score of 16-0. After returning to South Bend, the Irish defeated both Miami of Ohio (15-8) and Purdue (7-6). During Easter vacation, the team traveled to Connecticut and Long Island. The Irish dropped two out of three on the trip, but gained valuable experience. The stickmen split their final eight games, going 4-4.
