HEARPEN RECORDS

The name is Anglo-Saxon for music or harp. The name is spelled HEARTHAN on the HR101 label (because the Anglo-Saxon letter for the "th" sound, the thorn, looks like a p). Hearpen Records was owned & run by David Thomas, started with money borrowed from the brother-in-law of a friend. Approx 2000-2500 of each Ubu title were pressed.
