NOTES

The early spelling Ischi, used uniformly in Switzerland, became Ischy in Texas.  Thus, for the immigrants especially, the records displayed here may not be entirely uniform about the spelling.

Wives are listed under their married names, with the family name appearing second to last.  So, in these listings, Margueritte Elizabeth Ischi, née Urfer,  appears as Margueritte Elizabeth Urfer Ischi.

An umlauted vowel, e.g., ü, is often rendered by the addition of an 'e'.   Thus ü may be spelled as 'ue'.
