    In the second case, e.g., the surname Gerber occurs through the marriage of Johann Ulrich Ischi, the nephew of the ancestor Emanuel Jacob Ischi, to Anna Marie Gerber Ischi.

    Other of the surnames can occur from other marriages of the ancestors .  E.g., for the surname Schneiter(2); when the ancestor Madelaine Ischi Urfer re-married upon the death of the ancestor Jacob Urfer, her first husband, she married Jean Schneiter.
