The city might want to step up that research on starting a municipal power company.

     But the Main Library wasn't the place to do that investigation on Tuesday because a power outage shuttered the facility. Librarians said the NSTAR juice went down at the library's temporary home in the Longfellow School just before 9 a.m. They were sent home at noon. The library reopened Wednesday morning.
