What is "Make a Difference Day"?  "Make a Difference Day" is  the largest national day of helping others -- a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Everyone can participate! You can join us in our project, you can join someone else, or you could create your own!

What is a "Simple Quilt"?  A simple quilt is NOT a fancy bed covering.  A simple quilt IS sturdy and warm, measures about 60" by 80", and is constructed from recycled bedding or fabric remnants.  It brings warmth on a cold night or shelter from the sun on a hot day.  It becomes a bed, a room divider, a backpack, even a home.  It is a work of HEART that carries with it a message of hope to those who may have lost theirs. We believe that our simple quilts, constructed with love, can and DO make a difference in the lives they touch.

Where are the "Suffering People"? Everywhere.  And so we have given simple quilts to Safe Harbor, our local homeless shelter.  We have sent simple quilts to families living in stark poverty and deep despair in Appalachia.  Katrina victims received simple quilts.  And we have teamed with Lutheran World Relief to send our simple quilts all over the world.  Since October 28th, 2007 we have created and sent over 200 simple quilts!!

Who can help make "Simple Quilts"? Almost ANYONE!!  You don't have to sew, three out of five steps don't require sewing!  And for sure, REAL MEN MAKE SIMPLE QUILTS!  Children old enough to tie knots with parental supervision are invited! Any youth out their in need of a service project??  We need your help!  We need your hands!!
