- Teachers know what many professionals do not: there's no one syndrome of ADD,
but many; that it rarely occurs by itself, but usually shows up entangled with other
problems such as learning disabilities or mood problems; and that the treatment
for ADD, despite the rosy picture in various texts, remains a task of hard work
and devotion. Here are a few tips for classroom teachers on the school
management of the child with ADD, from noted authorities Hallowell and Ratey.
