The Senior
Citizens Center -- Where you find fun, food, good friends,
and a ride!
Mission
The
mission of the Senior Citizen Center is to meet the needs
of the elderly and/or disabled person by offering them programs
and activities that will help them remain self sufficient
and independent.
What
We Offer
The Senior Citizens Center is a multipurpose community center
for the seniors of Portsmouth and the neighboring towns.
In addition to nutritious
meals served daily to senior adults 60 and over and the
handicapped/disabled, the Senior Center offers transportation
to medical appointments, shopping, and rids to and from whatever
is deemed necessary for the participant of the program.
Our programs include
basic health care clinic sessions, leisure time and social
activities, library, clubs, outings, counseling support groups,
information, and referrals.
The Senior Citizens Center is also complemented
by an Advisory Board and Committees, which assist in program
planning, proposed budgets, and fundraising to continue this
successful program.
