Who ARE the Notorious Trotskys, anyway?

The Notorious Trotskys are the architects of the nascent American Music movement. Eschewing the confines of genre, these half brothers from McHenry, IL travel the highways and byways of our dear nation's rich sonic tapestry to deliver music that's smart, honest, and fun.

Watching the Notorious Trotskys fills the listener with optimism and love. In addition to their vast catalog of original aural amalgamations, their digits and diaphragms bend, soar, scramble and serve up covers from great patriots such as Sam Cooke and Patsy Cline, as well as the occasional Hot Number One single representing excellence in American Music.

Before forming NT in 1997, Bob and J have played together and separately in a number of bands since 1990. They have played to adoring crowds on both sides of the Atlantic. In fact Bob was known as the Hungarian Ralf Krinkle...

"But what do they LOOK like?" you ask? Okay, you may see them...the Minister of Propaganda has graciously released this secret photo for your viewing pleasure. Please prepare yourself for wonder and awe.

Meet J!Meet Bob!

What's new?

This just in!!! The Notorious Trotskys have purchased their very own state-of-the-art, very snazzy, Digital Audio Tape (DAT) recorder. I think they're planning to do some really funky recording with this puppy. Be on the lookout for better quality demo tapes. Oh yeah, J. also bought a new mandolin--he seems to be very happy about it, indeed. :-)

OH! Hey kids! The Minister of Propaganda finally got a few more pictures scanned in, so you can take a look at the hopefully "soon to be growing"...

Trotsky Rogue Gallery

The Minister of Propaganda is back at school and surviving (rather than thriving). Bob and J. have come up with the crazy idea that I should be their manager as well as the Minister of Propaganda. What's even crazier is that I am accepting the job.

The Minister of Propaganda has completed the biographies for Bob and J. Trotsky so that you may get to know the Notorious Trotskys that much more intimately. Click on their respective names above (next to the photo). You might even get to experience the friendly futon vicariously. Sounds smarmy...but it's really not. ;-)

Minister of Information and Liason Transatlantique, Thierry Crepin has completed the Notorious Trotsky photo portfolio. Hopefully portions of this portfolio will be posted here in the near future.
