Date: Sunday, April 13, 2008 10:51 AM Hello Scouters We are going to Haigh Quarry for our Advanced Open Water Certification May 24th and 25th. We will be having at least 5 dives this weekend. Three on Saturday and two on Sunday. Mr. Larson has made arrangements for our overnight stay, details will follow. As we get closer to our dive dates, I will get information from our Dive Instructor, Gary Bonner, on what time we need to arrive in order to get our dives accomplished. For our Advanced Open Water Certification we require five 'specialties'. We must have our books updated by responding to the knowledge reviews in these five chapters: 1. Underwater Navigation 2. Wreck Diver 3. Underwater Photography 4. Deep Diver 5. Search & Recovery/Light Salvage To assist with getting re-acquainted with our past instruction, the easier dives will be given first. The Deep Diver instruction is scheduled as the first dive on our second day. Expect the water to be cold (and dark when we go deep). Our Crew meeting is on May 6th, location the Steeple Run Clubhouse (6s050 Steeple Run Drive), meeting beginning at 7:30pm. Among the logistics of our dive outing, we need to discuss our future meeting schedule. Perhaps we can arrange for a representative from Crew 5501 to join us and give us an overview of their activities. http://www.scuba507.org http://www.haighquarry.com/ http://www.aquaparadise.com/ Michael K Klecka Crew Advisor 507
