General Plan Update

Community Participation

The Union City Planning Commission is sponsoring the General Plan Update process and acting as advisors to the City Council. The Commission will communicate key findings from the planning efforts, policy choices, and recommendations the the City Council. The Commission is responsible for convening workshops, community outreach, and communication of the findings and recommendations emerging from the planning process. The Planning Commission is working with their many partners to update the General Plan. Their partners include other City advisory commissions and boards, the New Haven Unified School District, Chamber of Commerce, and other community-based organizations. The Planning Commission welcomes and encourages all of Union City's residents and businesses to participate in the community workshops.
