MSA thanks Director Golden for his prompt attention to owner/occupant needs. Pictured above is the Shade Tree Div. of Dept. of Recreation removing over growth that has acted as a shield for those whom conduct illegal activities on Mulberry Street in and around City owned properties of phase 1 of the mitigation. This is a great beginning and MSA salutes Director Golden in his efforts. MSA is also always on watch to preserve the dignity of the core of this community that remains in phase 2 of this mitigation.

In MSA's ongoing efforts to comply with the Mulberry Street Mitigation as well as preserving our communities dignity while the core of owner/occupants remain in phase 2.

Implementing the tools of the Citizens Police Advisory Council we have identified the problem.

Number 1 above shows a view of a City owned property in phase 1 that is completely hidden from E. Trenton Ave. due to Scarpatti's corrugated steel fence that surrounds his lot. There is an easement that allows access by foot only to the rear of all City owned property in phase 1.

Numbers 1 and 2 are of the same structure and show possible entrance and exit schemes.

Number 3 shows a recently acquired property of phase 1 and shows the access point.

Number 4 shows a structure adjacent 83 Mulberry St. depicted in number 3, 79 Mulberry is possibly accessed through the second story window.

MSA has seen squatters as well as young men using these properties for illegal activities ranging from drug use and sales to prostitution!

The solution: Together with Lt. Juniak of TPD MSA wishes to conduct a walk through actually showing the lay of the land. Not only of phase 1 but of other trouble spots MSA has discovered. So that they could know all the possible ways these criminals will use to elude law enforcement.

MSA believes that the immediate securing of these structures is only a temporary fix to a problem that is long standing in this community. The walk through will lay a foundation for the Police to have a higher success rate in the apprehension these felons.

Although MSA as a community is in the twilight of its existence, our members where ever we may end up in the City of Trenton believe in Director Golden, and in the Citizen Police Advisory Council. Together in the true partnership between the CPAC's and Trenton Police Department we intend to banish the fear many citizens have by showing it works!
