MSA AWARD

MSA Reflects Here are some facts.

At end of 1999 MSA formed to seek Equitable buy-outs in the Mitigation of Mulberry Street. The following list of people were most helpful and extended their services to owner/occupants.
  • Senator Chris Smith
  • State Senator Shirley K. Turner
  • General Assemblyman Reed Gusciora
  • General Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman
  • Mayor Douglas Palmer
  • City Council of Trenton
  • City Services

All of the listed people above helped owner/occupants achieve their goal which was equitable buy-outs. Senator Turner, Assemblyman Gusciora, and Assemblywoman Coleman accepted MSA's invitations to our meetings and were very attentive to owner/occupant concerns. Although Councilman Legget was invited he refused to attend any of MSA meetings to hear the concerns from his own constituents whom he represented as North Ward Councilman.

Mayor Palmer met with MSA frequently and went above and beyond in expressing and showing his concern for owner/occupants. Mayor Palmer personally took the time and was there for owner/occupants in their time of need.

When MSA extended invitations to attend meetings or events most of those listed above heeded the call. As evident in this photo of when MSA as a community broke bread together for the last time. And as shown Councilman Legget was NOT there although he was invited.

MSA's singles out Mayor Douglas Palmer for our choice of this award of appreciation. Who has proven to have gone above and beyond in his efforts to aid owner/occupants achieve equitable buy-outs.
