Songwriter. Writer. Musician. Photographer. Artist. Activist. Diana Davies performs her original, politically-oriented, solo, folk-punk songs at cafes, clubs, on the street, and at festivals and benefits.
Working on the myriad fringes of the folk and punk music scenes for many years, she has been a roadie, stagehand, open-mic MC, sound technician, show promoter and poster-hanger, photographer and videographer, and dedicated listener.
Diana Davies sings "news-songs", chronicles of the lives and situations of people encountered in her travels. Her passion for information-gathering, net-working and "story-singing" is closely related to her having participated, for most of her life, in people's struggles for social change.
